Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Bunker moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 482 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett requested additional time before reporting on the proposed ordinance amending the Minor Ordinance. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON, FIRM, ASSOCIATION OR CORPORATION OWNING, MANAGING, OR BEING IN CONTROL OF ANY AUDITORIUM, THEATRE, OR MOTION PICTURE THEATRE, FROM ALLOWING SMOKING WITHIN SUCH BUILDING; PROHIBITING ANY PERSON FROM SMOKING WITHIN SAID BUILDING; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple with certain amendments, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 481 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 16 OF THE CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1919, ALSO KNOWN AS THE LAS VEGAS LIQUOR CONTROL ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DISTRIBUTION AND CONTROL OF INTOXICATING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES; REGULATING PLACES WHERE AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS SAID INTOXICATING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES MAY BE KEPT, SOLD, GIVEN AWAY OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED; PROVIDING FOR PERMITS AND LICENSES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH," BY CHANGING CERTAIN DEFINITIONS; FURTHER DEFINING CERTAIN SECTIONS; AND BY ADDING A NEW SECTION PROHIBITING DELIVERIES IN RESPONSE TO TELEPHONE CALLS, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple for recommendation. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Union Cab Company for renewal of license for 10 taxis for the 1st quarter of 1952 be approved. Commissioner Whipple moved the City Manager be authorized to purchase a new Austin-Western Street Sweeper. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn.
