MELNICK Although 300 extra seats will be added in the Riviera Hotel Versailles Room June 17-July 1, look for standing room only. That's when the one and only Dean Martin is appearing. The famous singer is set to return for another four-week stand later in the season. Between his film making, television appearances, recordings and nightclub stands, | Martin also finds time to pro duce the shows at the hotel. Until Dino appears, Rog< miller and The Blossoms will Upntihue packing the crowds in. Andy Williams is the No. 1 attraction in the Circus Maximus Room at Caesars Palace through June U. The popular singer offers such standards as "Impossible Dream," "Who Can I Turn To," "For Once in My Life" and "Little Green Apples." Williams also works with The Osmond Brothers in several numbers including "Fascinating Rhythm," and "Peg of My Heart." # * # i Aretha Franklin and the Nat Brandwynne Orchestra will occupy the spotlight in the Circus Maximus Room from June 12 through June 17. * * * Red Skelton opens in the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel starting June 11. Red is an old- time Sands favorite and that means standing room only during his stand. Diahann Carroll will occupy the top spot at the Copa until Skeljgn's June appearance. Circus Circus continues to feature outstanding circus acts that it has imported throughout the world. The Thunderbird offers three different revues to bring in the patrons. * * * The Fremont Hotel brings back popular singing star Frankie Laine tomorrow night for a four-week engagement Laine has proved a powerful drawing card in the famous | Fiesta Room at the hotel. The Desert Inn will unveil a new super spectacular in its production in July caHed "Pzazz 70 and All That Jazz ... Baby." The show will have the same team that produced and staged the last "Pzazz" revue, Frank Sennes as the producer and Donn Arden as director. ; for this new production began over a year ago. * * * Jf*** Currently the Desert Tnn is featuring Bob Newhart and songstress Teresa Brewer in the Crystal Room. This marks comedian Newhart's second visit to the Desert Inn. * * ?╓¬ Jimmy Durante and the well- known Lennon Sisters are the featured attraction at the Frontier Hotel. Veteran Durante has his old gang with him, Sonny King and! Eddie Jackson, plus a bevy of; beautiful girls. The Lennon j Sisters have become national j figures since their appearances j for many years on the Lawrence! jWelk Show. * ?╟≤ * Singer Tom Jones and comic Sammy Shore open at the Flamingo Hotel Friday night. Both have made previous appearances at the Flamingo and were well received. * * * The Lido de Paris Show at the Stardust is one of the three hotels presently featuring top revues with dancing girls, lavish costumes and spectaculr productions. Like its seven previous productions, the Lido '69 is The Showboat Hotel has the famous "Keep Off The Grass Revue" appearing nightly through June 15 in the Mardi Gras Room. The Four Queens Hotel though in the process of building more rooms to help accommodate the crowds, Is featuring popular lounge acts nightly. * * * Hank Henry and Ms group of veteran burlesque performers are at the Hacienda Hotel. * * * The Mint Hotel has "The Good! Life" group appearing nightly in! its Mirri-Mint Lounge. Eddie! Cash opens June 18. The Folies Bergere Revue is at the Tropicana Hotel and it, too, is tops in every sense of the word. More than 100 persons, mostly girls, participate in the production. ?╟≤ ?√ß-*?√ß-* The Dunes Hotel features "The Casino de Paris" revue in its main showroom. "It's the most tempting offer I've ever considered," she told the VF, "and it's going to foe a tough one to turn down ?╟÷ or accept. Things are going so great for me right now, I don't know whether I want to tie myself down with a series. On the other hand, it is a beautiful offer and I'd hate to pass it foy. Maybe I can do both." Totie headlines a show which features Don Cherry at the Riv and business is SRO. Dino heads into the final week pf his engagement to keeping things jumping as they've never jumped around the elegant hostelry. Chico Holiday is attracting excellent crowds during the wee hours in Dino's Den. I THE CONNIE STEVENS show at the Desert Inn Will close after the midnight performance on Saturday, j July 5, one day earlier than contracted for, in order to give Frank Sennes and Donn Arden an extra rehearsal day with the massive Harvey Warren sets that werej created for "Pzazz '70 and All That Jazz, Baby" opening July 10.'. . * . RAY BINNEY, froducer of the sexy attraction at the Thunderbird, "Pardon My Can Can," weds his line captain, Janet Karpus, on July 7. . . AUDITIONS for Folies Bergere dancers and show-; girls will he held again Saturday (5th) in the Tropicana j Theatre Restaurant at 1 p-.m. Showgirls must be at least j 5' 8" tall and girl dancers must meet a height minimum j of 5' 6". . . BILLY PARKER, new boss at Frankie Schivo's , California Club, wants the place to foe a meeting place for locals, so the first thing he did after taking over was loosen the slots. . .
