University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Libraries

Previous issues of the Las Vegas Age have quoted representatives of the water Co. agreeing to furnish whatever water service was required for eaeh quota of houses advanced. First, it was 500, which the Water Co. stated in the press they could supply immediately, then a contemplated 800 more or a total of 1300 additional homes, which the Company is now developing water for, drilling additional wells, installing pumps, power lines and other facilities whioh will be needed this summer. It has signified its willingness to supply water for any number of houses, limited only by the amount available in the underground channel, and no human knows what this limit is. However, the Water Co. has never failed to keep pace with the development of the City, which it has fostered and advanced since 1905. The present sucoess of Las Vegas could not have been attained without the earnest cooperation and interst of the LVL&W Co. and its parent company, the Union Pacific, which has an annual payroll of $l, 625,000 in this community. Considering the heavy investments they each have in this community it is fitting and proper that they should do everything in their power to assist in the growth of Las Vegas.
