TELEPHONE: 234-9301 (o-eo cod. 503) TELEX '36640?√ß CABLE: JANTZEN ?╟≤ FACTORIES AND SALES OFFICES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD IANTZEN INC* P.O.BOX 3001 ?╟≤ PORTLAND, OREGON 97208 . THE WORLD?╟╓S MOST FAMOUS APPAREL NAME March 2, 1971 Mr. Al Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: Please accept my apologies for the sudden departure hut the show, atmosphere and everything in general became too exhausting by Friday. After I left Nevada, I met Holger and a few friends and went off to his ranch in the mountains outside of San Francisco. Being 30 miles away from the telephone and only having mother nature to communicate with, helped clear my head. Al, attached you will find four more catalogs with the lead-in page -featuring The Sands Hotel. This will be distributed to 20,000 apparel buyers throughout the entire country in major retail stores. You will also find five black and white glossy newspaper releases featuring The Sands which will also be re- leased to newspaper editors some time in July. In reference to newspaper editonais, I though you would be interested in the attached fashion feature which appeared in the Portland Oregonian on February 26. Our trade program directed to retailers will appear as spectacolor center sPreadf in Wren's Wear Daily on March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. In each of these ads?╟╓ thsre will be a line in the actual half-tone saying, "Fun Lovers Gather at The Sands, Las, Vegas." Your ad on March 24 will have "The Sands" logo. The attached tearsheets will give you a better indication what the productions will actually look like. Our national, consumer program will consist of four color-bleed spreads in July Redbook, August Cosmopolitan, August Glamour and September Mademoiselle. Once again eadh ad will carry the same copy line in the half-tone and the August Cosmopolitan issue will feature The Sands loon. All in all, it should be quite an outstanding program. Once again we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the staff, and The Sands Hotel for the cooperation and hospitality shown to us during the past few weeks. Although we?╟╓ve traveled throughout the entire world for both conventions and photography, we can honestly say that The Sands Hotel will always be considered a home with Jantzen. We will contact you within a few days. Sincerely Robert E. Wirtz, Manager Advertising, Publicity & Sales Promotion - Misses1 I
