    Lavish spectacles like this one at the Lido, cost many thousands to produce, but club holds 600 patrons and is packed every night. IF ever there was a truly international language, that language was, and is, sex. And the auditorium where the language is spoken most eloquently is the night club. Parisian night clubs have long been the most articulate, most outspoken of the world?╟╓s pleasure parlors and lately they are outdoing even themselves. Take the Lido, photographs of which, appear on these pages. The Lido gives its patrons everything that the Folies Bergere does with the added comfort of being expensive. Any man can take his date to the Folies, but it takes a full bankroll, as well as a broad-minded date, to sit through the fair, fast and fleshy review at this lusty Acropolis. Since the war, of course, the demand for lavish entertainment has increased and French night clubs are heavily loaded with American and German, as well as French visitors. The French bring something to their night club reviews besides freedom from censorship, however. They bring beauty, talent and real flair. An immensely cultured people, they manage to instill considerable grace?╟÷without losing earthiness-?╟÷even in something so elemental as a girly show.
