SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Sharp moved that Service and Material Warrant Nos. 3071 through 3233 in the WARRANTS total amount of $142,245.84 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker and Commissioner Fountain. MINUTES Commissioner Bunker moved the Minutes of October 1, 1958 be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Fountain and Mayor C. D. Baker. CHARITABLE SOLICITATION Commissioner Sharp moved the following Charitable Solicitation Permits, as recommended by PERMITS the Solicitation Review Board be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: a) AMERICAN LEGION #8 AUXILIARY - Bake & Rummage sales and raffle tickets b) SISTERHOOD OF TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM - Rummage Sales c) JAY-C-ETTES OF LAS VEGAS - Raffle Tickets d) VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS - Annual Poppy Sale e) LAS VEGAS HACIENDA, INC. - Ticket sale for Damon Runyon Cancer Fund f) FIRST METHODIST CHURCH WOMEN'S SOCIETY FOR CHRISTIAN SERVICE- Bake Sale g) AMERICAN WAR MOTHERS - Rummage Sale Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; noes, none. Baker and Commissioner Fountain, LIQUOR LICENSE Consideration was given to the application of Sam Diamond and Al Parvin for a Tavern License Change of Owner at the New Pioneer Club Inc., 25 Fremont, presently owned by Milton Prell and Associates. Police reports were reported favorable on the applicants. New Pioneer Club Inc. Commissioner Bunker moved that the application of Sam Diamond and Al Parvin for a Tavern Approved License at the New Pioneer Club Inc., 25 Fremont, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioner Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; nones, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker and Commissioner Fountain, GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Bunker moved that the application of Sam Diamond and Al Parvin for license Change of Owner for 108 slots, 2 Craps, 4 "21", 1 Roulette and 1 Racehorse Keno at the New Pioneer Club Inc., 25 Fremont, formerly issued to Milton Prell and Associates be approved and the Supervisor of New Pioneer Club Inc. License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. LICENSES - OTHER Commissioner Sharp moved the application for a New & Used Book Store by Luther L Diehl and New & Used Book Store Viola Diehl doing business as The Book Nook, 821 Ogden, be approved with the stipulation that this license is for new and used books only and that no other used merchandise may be sold The Book Nook under this license. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D.
