Enclosed herewith is a detailed outline of the plan which was developed -af.this time * ?√ß ;|ltem Number Two on the agenda was the selection of a new chairman of".the Promotion Committee upon the expiration of the term of Art. 'Force<Y' Before this took place, however, it was suggested by AX Freeman that thought be given by the: group to dissolution of the present Promotion Committee' and the formation of another body composed of 5 to 7 memberso This group,to be called the "Promotion Action Panel, would serve as the promotion committee of the Chamber of Commerce and would be in complete charge*'o?·:; administration of the Livewire Fund?½ This panel, Freeman suggested, would answer only to the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce - and. would, in ef fect, be the advertising and promotion agency,for the area. The merits and mechanics of such a panel were the subject of lengthy discussion by the Committee. As -a result, A1 Freeman was elected temporary chairman and was requested to prepare a formal outline of his plan for submission to the group in the near future.
