Her writer Marty Farrell, got hit by a car and suffered a broken wrist. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital, but not before Streisand was told about it. So, she grabbed a cab and rushed to the hospital where all hell broke loose when the nurses recognized her. Meanwhile, poor Marty was being wheeled to surgery aboard a stretcher. And the nurse pushing the wheeler suddenly spotted Barbra and started gaping. As a result she pushed the stretcher into a wall and jammed Marty's good hand into it. Inn, has a couple of winners in the singing team of Barry Monroe and Ed Whiting who scored so strongly the other night.
