I agree.COWLES magazines inc. Look Building, 488 Madison Ave., New York 22, N. Y, MUrraybill 8-0300 GARDN E R COWLES, President and Editor August 4, 1958 Dear Al, Two of my very good friends are stopping in Las Vegas Saturday night, August 9th, on their way to Los Angeles. Neither one has been to Las Vegas before. They are Edward Bleier of Tex McCrary. Inc. )New York City) and Howard Kalinensj^ Broadcasting Company-TelevisionTwho is the son of Ben Kalmenson of Warner Brothers). I have told Ed and Howie that nobody stays anywhere but The Sands when in Las Vegas. As a result of my ballyhooing, I'm elected to get them a double room. Since you're usually booked to capacity, I'm hoping you will do me a great favor and hold a room for Saturday night. They plan to fly from Vegas to Los Angeles sometime Sunday afternoon, August 10th. Everybody here you know sends greetings. We're all busy and LOOK is doing well, in spite of the recession. I hope all is well with you. We haven't heard a word from you in ages! Mr. Al Freeman The Sands Las Vegas, Nevada Fond regards, Martha Stephens P. S. If the double room is impossible, please wire me collect here at LOOK and I'll have to try something else.
