    590 VARIANCE APPLICATION Leonard M. Steam V-4-54 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION Naida Ormand V-5-54 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION Dr. H. R. Knoller V-2-54 Denied VARIANCE APPLICATION LonGene, Inc. V-3-54 this application for rezoning be denied, be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker passed his vote stating that he sold this' property. At this time the Board considered the variance application of Leonard M. Steam to construct and maintain a garage for two cars attached to the main building with no rear yard setback on Lot 1, Block 8, Ladds Addition and Lot 8, Block 4, Fairview Tract located at 1311 Ogden Avenue in an R-3 (limited Multiple) Use District. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of February, 1954 having considered the application of Leonard M. Stearn for a variance to construct and maintain a garage for two cars attached to the main building with no rear yard setback at 1311 Ogden Avenue; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application: NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Leonard M. Steam, V-4—54 as approved by the City Banning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Naida Ormand to construct and maintain a duplex on a lot 6,000 square feet in area where 7,000 square feet is required on Lot 3, Block 23, 14th Street Addition at 348 l6th Street, as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of February, 1954 having considered the application of Naida Orman for a variance to construct and maintain a duplex at 348 l6th Street; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application: NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Naida Ormand, V-5-54 as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Dr. H.R. KNoller to construct and maintain a triplex in addition to a triplex which exists on a lot 7,000 square feet in area located at 1614 Marlin Avenue on Lot 4 of Martin Tract, in an R-3 (Limited Multiple) zone, as recommended by the Planning Commission was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the: Planning Commission be accepted, and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of February, 1954 having considered the application of Dr. H. R. Knoller, for a variance to construct and maintain a triplex in addition to a triplex which exists at 1614 Marlin Avenue; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending denial of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Dr. H. R. Knoller, V-2-54 as denied by the Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of LonGene, Inc. to construct and maintain two buildings of four housing units each in addition to 32 which exist on property situated on Fourteenth Street on Lots A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H, Block 20 of Ladds Re-subdivision in an R-3 (Limited Multiple) zone, as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered by the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved this variance application be referred to the City Manager for further study and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. 2-3-54
