The theme of the show has gone unchanged, as it continues to tell the story of women through time beginning in the 1800?╟╓s to present day. The first new addition is the opener, The Dressing Room. This number gives the audience a behind-the-scenes feel of how the gorgeous showgirls prepare for their nightly appearance on stage, This scenario flows seamlessly into the next, La Vedette, meaning, ?╟úntnrnf the slimy.?╟Ñ During this scene, the male dancers present a ujL& stunning showgirl as-the ?╟ústar,?╟Ñ appearing through smoke with giant butterfly wings on her back. Also added to the French Revue is a vignette called The New Woman that displays women as they were in the 1920?╟╓s. During this time, women replaced their big frilly clothes 3'oL?╜?╟  with sexier, more revealing flapper-style outfits that included short/sequined dresses. Also popular in the 1920?╟╓s were ?╟úwomen of darkness?╟Ñ known as vamps. This scene begins with a private boudoir moment. A group of dancers wear black silk and velvet dressing gowns accessorized with cords and tassels. Removing the gowns, the long tasseled cords remain and are used not only as an dement of the dance, but also as an erotic prop to emphasize the sexual natures of these women. - more - 3801 Las Vegas Baulevard, South ?╟≤ Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 ?╟≤ 702-739-2222 ?╟≤ www.tropicanaiv.com Contact: Johna Klym Marketing Coordinator Phone: 702.739.2729 MEDIA INFORMATION
