Mr. Frank Strongs Confirming our conversation today with reference to proposed Installation of a sewer main to serve our property and that of Sears- Roebuok on North Main Street, authorized under W0-601S The plan originally proposed to start this sewer line 750 feet north of the main sewer transmission line and run southerly to a connection therewith would involve about 13 feet of excavation at the south end, and test holes indicated rook at five feet. It is suggested that the sewer line be run northerly, following the contour of the ground, cross North,Main Street at Washington and connect with the existing 8-inch sewer main in the alley east of Main Street. Have conferred with City Engineer, who offers no objection, and we anticipate no difficulty in receiving permission of the State Highway Department to cross North Main Street. Confirming telephone conversation with Mr. Maag today, will you please have Engineer Plrie run levels for this proposed new design when he has finished the Job he is now working on.
