LAS VEGAS LAND AND WATER COMPANY BD 1-8 Omaha* Nebraska* Sept. 8, 1038 Mr. W. R. Bracken - Las Vegas: Your letters of August 16th and September 1* 1938* with respect to manner of reporting certain statistical information in our Annual Report of Water Utility to the Public Service Commission of Nevada: In view of General Attorney MoNamea*a opinion referred to on-page 3 of your, letter of August 16* and the ruling of the Secretary of the Public Service Commission given in his letter of August 39, we now u dfrstand that the amount reported to the Commission as maximum water supply should include the amount utilised for irrigation purposes at the ranch owned by the LVL&W Co., but should not include the water utilised or sold by the railroad; that the water* used for railroad purposes should* however, be reported in a footnote for the information of the Commission, so that the total production of the water facilities may be ascertained from the Report. In order to insure that we axe now in agreement as to the manner of reporting this information, I am attaching a copy of page 13* "General Statistics", of the Annual Report, on whioh I have shown the information, baaed on figure^ for the year 1937, as we propose to report it in future. I will appreciate advice from you as to whether the proposed manner of reporting has your concurrence. In order to allow ample time after receipt of your annual advice of statistics for compilation and issuance of the report, and for bringing up and disposing of any questions which may arise In connection with the information furnished, we should receive the data from you for each year* without special request from us* as soon as practicable after the close of the year, and I will appreciate your arranging with the Superintendent to furnish you with information required from him, accordingly, le should, if possible, receive the complete information not later than February 5th each year.
