Reservations 735-2545 COSTUME CONFAB - Falco, center, world famous "courturier from Paris, joins producer Frank Sennes, left, and director-choreographer Donn Arden in a discussion of the fabulous costumes he has created for the all-new "Lido de Paris" revue, "Pourquois Pas?" It's the Lido show's ninth and most glittering edition and world premieres in the Stardust Hotel's Cafe Continental May I. Costing more than $350,000, the costumes have been jetted to Las Vegas from Paris and will be seen for the first time when "Pourquois Pas?" makes its eagerly awaited debut on the Las Vegas entertainment scene. NMMET LAXALT LIDO SALUTE: Nevada Governor Paul Laxalt, center, visited the Las Vegas Stardust Hotel to personally present a congratulatory letter to Stardust president Bill Scott, right and Larry Shupnick, executive vice-president and director of hotel operations. The Laxalt letter praises the Stardust for its "outstanding stage production, the Lido de Paris," which this year observes its 12th anniversary. Laxalt also wished the Stardust "continued success in providing top stage productions." ?╟≤ "POURQUOIS PAS?" PARTY ?╟÷ Lovely Jean Gojko- vitch, Bluebell dancer in the new "Lido de Paris" revue, "Pourquois Pas?" which world premiers at the Stardust Hotel May 1, is one of the eyefuls that greeted invited guests at the "Lido Girls Meet the Press" party at the hotel's Cafe Continental last Friday evening. Highlighted by an Eiffel - Tower-topped, multi - layer cake, the party both heralded the Lido show's 12th anniversary and It glittering new edition. The event has the distinction of being a major show pre-opening first for Las Vegas. Not only did the news media have an unprecedented opportunity to view a Lido show rehearsal while they sipped cocktails, but they were conducted on a backstage tour of the wondrous stage effects contrivances and elaborate sets that have been created for the new revue. Their escorts were the new Lido lovelies, the world's prettiest femmes. A sit-down dinner climaxed the excitement-filled evening.
