Hunt Maryland Parkway LDS CHURCH PROPERTY Drainage LOADING ZONES BIB NO. 52.10-Award Cemetery Fence Those voting "Aye”: Commissioner Bunker Commissioner Jarrett Commissioner Peccole Mayor Pro Tem Whipple Those voting "Nay": None Absent: Mayor Baker The presiding officer declared said motion carried and the rules suspended. Commissioner Bunker then moved that said ordinance heretofore introduced and read in full at this meeting be now placed upon its passage. Commissioner Peccole seconded the motion, and the question being upon the placing of said ordinance upon its passage, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Aye": Commissioner Bunker Commissioner Jarrett Commissioner Peccole Mayor Pro Tem Whipple Those voting "Nay":None Absent: Mayor Baker The presiding officer declared the motion carried and the ordinance placed upon its final passage. Commissioner Bunker then moved that said ordinance be parsed and adopted as read and as an emergency ordinance. Commissioner Peccole seconded the motion. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMeND ORDINANCE NO. 467 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE TO AMeND CHAPTER 36 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VeGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION ESTABLISHING and designating certain streets for thE use by trucks and commercial vehicles of a certain w ei gh t , making the violation of this ORDINANCE A MISDEMEANOR, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 36, SECTION 41, OF THE CODE OF THe CITY OF LaS VeGAS, NEVADA, 1949, FIXING SPeED LIMITS WITHIN THE CITY" AND ADDING A NEW Section defining duties of garAGe operators in Certain instances, and repealing a ll ordinances or PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett for recommendation. Commissioner Peccole moved that confirmation of the Assessment Roll on Assessment District No. 200-5 be deferred until August 20, 1952. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent:Mayor Baker. Commissioner Peccole moved the award of the contract for the installation of improvements in Assessment District go. 200-5 be deferred until August 20, 1952. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent:Mayor Baker. On motion of Commissioner Jarrett, duly seconded by Commissioner Peccole the following resolution is adopted and order made: R E S O L U T I O N , and carried unanimously, BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of August, 1952, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed dated the 24th day of July, 1952, executed by Jessie N. Hunt to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER ReSOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple, committee for report on the request of the LDS Church for drainage from their property on North 5th Street requested additional time before reporting. Commissioner Peccole moved that the Board continue their policy of not granting loading zones. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent:Mayor Baker. The City Manager recommended Cemetery, be awarded to the that Bid No. 52.10 for the furnishing and low bidder, Sears Roebuck and Co. installing of a wire fence at Woodlawn
