The Desert Inn has joined the mini-mod-mad world of today and on Sept. 28 will present a brilliant new revue produced by Frank Sennes and created, staged and directed by Donn Arden. A stageful of sensational entertainment, gorgeous girls excitingly costumed, sizzling music with cosmic sounds and dazzling decors with popart wildness will fill the DTs Crystal Room. What does "Pzazz! 68" mean? Pzazz means the greatest, the jazziest, the best, the most of everything. In short, the new Dl musical is "the pzazz!" "Pzazz! 68" will headline some of the top acts in the world. They include the Snyder Brothers, who offer an exciting freshness with their music, dancing and comedy; Rudy Cardenas, one of the most unique jug glers ever to appear on a stage; the Agostinos, breathtaking acrobatic- adagio twosome; aerialist-trapeze artist Galla Shawn and comedy knockabouts, The Frediani's. Production numbers will be performed by 18 girl dancers, 18 showgirls, nine boy dancers, nine boy singers and six principal girl singers- dancers, all under the expert direction of Donn Arden. Lavish productions will feature a Hollywood Happening in the modern go-go style; a tribute to the glory of the Fred Astaire era; a zany salute to motion pictures, incorporating many mechanical innovations and an actual waterfall; an explosive Boom Town presentation with a complete oil field afire, and a Foreign Legion finale glorifying the "Beau Geste" epics. Scenic designs are by Harvey Warren, music and lyrics by Jim Harbert and Leonard Adelson and costumes by Bill Campbell, executed by Ber- man's of Hollywood. Opens DONN ARDEN, who created and will stage-dir "Pzazz! 68" opening at the Dl later this month, huddles with producer Frank Sennes backstage.
