LOUIS CHAPTER AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS 3414 LINDELL BOULEVARD FRANKLIN 1-4980 ST. LOUIS 3, MISSOURI Janaary 22, 1957 CLAUDE I. BAKEWELL Treasurer MRS. ROBERT W. BARTLETT SECRETARY ROY WINGATE MANAGER The Sands Las Vegas, Nevada Attention: Publicity Director Gentlemen: Once again the American Bed Cross is planning its "A Night in Las Vegas" party at John J, Cochran Memorial Veterans' Hospital in St. Louis and Veterans' Hospital, Jefferson Barracks, in MARCH. This evenings' entertainment for ex-service men who are hospitalized has met with such overwhelming success for the past two years, due to the wonderful souvenirs with which you have provided us, that we are again asking you to send us some of your advertising material. The hospital auditorium is turned into a casino on that night, and each patient receives a handful of bogus money to use in playing all the gambling games. This party is a highlight of the year* s activities at these hospitals, and your generous contributions have suc- ceeded in making it an outstanding night. We would be delighted if you could help us again. Sincerely Mrs. Wm. Perry A Bed Cross VA Hospital^Representative
