I agree.yi?║f ?╟÷siS> Count Alberto Carlo 310 E. 44th Street New York, New York February 18, 1959 Mr. A1 Freeman Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear A1: A little more on our preliminary conversation on the possible Life Magazine spread on its psychological analysis of casinos ?╟÷ Jim Moran Associates of New York has commissioned me to do up some sketches capturing the excitement and drama of the various games of chance, and I would like to use the Sands casino, as I spoke to you about earlier. This would involve me standing about 20 or 30 feet away from the various games and sketching the action in general, without too much emphasis on individual faces. I will make sure no single face is identi- fiable by its owner, so as to insure the privacy of the individuals, as you strongly urged. I would like to start on this as soon as possible, and it should take about a week to do. As you suggested, Sunday afternoon would be an ideal time to capture the action and emotion you described. I am enclosing a copy of Mr. Moran's letter for your records, and I will keep you posted as we go along. It would be a real pleasure to work with the Sands on this project ?╟÷ and as you know, I can give no assur- ance that pictures of my sketches will be used in the Life layout, but as you also said, it is certainly worth a chance. I will work in the name "Sands?╟Ñ as I see it in true life, such as on a dealer's tie or apron, just to insure you proper credits. Kindest regards. /re Enel
