    i * * THE BASIC PROGRAM 1. "COMING?╟Ñ ADS a. For newspaper advertising ?╟÷ 3 column x 5 inch ad. b. Prepared for use in any market on a uniform, standard basis -- with the name of the franchised baker dropped in type inside an art element on the ad. c. /. franchised baker could run this ad on his present contract rate without incurring any additional ex- pense . d. In markets where color is allowed on any size ad, using a bright yellow for the hair and halo would increase the impact. e. This ad to be furnished in mat form to franchised bakers at the expense of the National Promotion Fund. The original artwork and the first plate production costs should be borne by Regan Bakeries, as this ad has been completed to provide a specific and con- crete example for the presentation now being drawn up by the General Mills advertising agency. V/e realize that Holsum is past this "coming" stage ?╟÷ and I believe that eventually Regan should be re^ imbursed out of the National Promotion Fund for the initial cost of preparing this ad. 2. "COMING" TV SPOT a. A slide or flip card to be used in a 20-second spot on a heavy repeat schedule. b. Slides or flip cards should be furnished to the franchised baker at the expense of the National Pro- motion Fund. c. The cost of the first slide or flip card should be borne by Regan Bakeries, and eventually should be reimbursed out of the National Promotion Fuad when it gets rolling.
