They go back to the Sands with their happy ending all worked out* But back m her rooms, Maria finds Pierre - her manager - waiting for her. At once and defiantly, she tells him about Chuck. She knows everything he's .'going to say about its being fantastic but she. isn't; going to listen!. She's going to marry Chuck and that's all there is to it! To her amazement, Pierre shakes no objections. He's heard about the luck - he's dying to meet Chuck - he wants to go along with them to dinner and to celebrate.
