I agree.September 20, 1966 Miss Julie Harding 2800 Eldridge Fort Worth, Texas 76107 Dear Juliei The round against you was one of the highlights of the Denver tournament. It had me alternately muttering and chuckling to myself, I'm so pleased you?╟╓re coming to the tournament at the Sands; it will be a pip of a party. You may be quite sure that your friends will get the red carpet treatment. This kind of tournament will not be as quiet or repressed as a duplicate tournament because what is done at one table does not?╟╓.have any effect on .any-other .table, So .we expect a- certain amount of good-humored kidding. Don?╟╓t be worried about your high-spirited Texahs ,in las' Vegas's .they?╟╓re very?' popular - "there. Standard bids will include strong two-bids, strong notrump, Sfcaymaa, Blaekwood, normal takeout doubles, and jump oivrcalls either strong or.* weak .'{.player.must .specify which they aref.| Players are allowed a maximum of three unusual bids. We allow. foreing opening -bi'd of l ?╟≤ ?╟╓and negative responseof 1 o as one deviation, Also' .'weak' ?╟≤ s and some forcing response (whatever ?√ß 0ie ; IHkeS); -.as'--'just: one deviation. .Perhaps, we could work out ?√ßthe'^Jaoo'hy'?;2,.NT'.:-and' responses 'as?√ß just?╟╓one- L-ic. I'm able and willing to go into as much detail as you would, ,like, but I' think it would be better to ;'do ?√ßthis .at- the tournament. I will be on hand all day Sunday, October 9th, to answer questions and discuss whatever the players want to talk about. Maybe I can meet your friends, answer your questions, have a drink, and wieh you good luck (as long as you?╟╓re not playing against me l ) all at the same time. Best regards. ?√ß Sincerely, Alfred Sheinwold
