Another year has passed, and thanks to your past generosity, a great deal has been accomplished. Our beloved mother with eleven other wonderful ladies founded the Roosevelt Welfare Group in 1943 and after investigating the need at Rancho Los Amigos, started their happiness safaris on a small basis for several years. This has grown into a much larger group and a major project. The members of the Roosevelt Welfare Group prepare regular, complete home-cooked and nutritious dinners. They then deliver and serve the dinners along with fruit, candy and gifts to the patients of the Rancho Los Amigos, the County Poor Farm, with kindness, friendship and cheering visitations. The ladies have added several picnics for the youngsters at the beach, Disneyland, etc., during the summer. Some of the children had not seen the ocean before. Funds are needed to continue this worthwhile cause. Your generous parti- cipation will provide renewed faith, relief and pleasure for a great number of appreciative "oldsters and youngsters." ^-dOSEPH K.
