Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Bunker, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution, is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of February, 1952, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 22nd day of October, 1951, executed by F. E. Searway and C. H. Searway to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Bunker, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of February, 1952, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 24th day of October, 1951, executed by J. A. Haggard and Lucille M. Haggard to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and in­tentions as therein set forth; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Bunker, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of February, 1952, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 2nd day of November, 1951, executed by Shigeo Takahashi and Mizuho Takahashi to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and in­tentions as therein set forth; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. On motion of Commissioner Bunker, duly seconded by Commissioner Whipple, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of February, 1952, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deeds to-wit: 1) Tide Water Associated Oil Company, a Delaware corporation, dated October 24, 1951, 2) Joseph F. Young and Edith Young, A. Ralph Smith and Mabel Smith, and Dugal Young and Mabel Young, dated July 16, 1951, 3) Joseph F. Young and Edith Young, A. Ralph Smith and Mabel Smith, and Dugal Young and Mabel Young, dated July 16, 1951, 4) C. S. Wengert and Lottie Wengert, and C. L. Ronnow and Mary Ronnow, dated July 6, 1951, 5) J. A. Tiberti and Marietta Hazzard Tiberti, dated July 6, 1951, 6) Theresa Cardinal, dated July 6, 1951, 7) Elvin Hitchcock and Eileen Hitchcock, and Hollie Vowell and Dora Vowell, dated July 6, 1951, 8) William Mendelsohn and Goldie Mendelsohn, dated July 7, 1951, to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real pro­perty described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deeds and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 13, SECTION 1, CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY ALLOWING ALIENS TO ENGAGE IN CERTAIN OCCUPA­TIONS IN GAMBLING ESTABLISHMENTS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDIN­ANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett for recommendation. Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett, committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinance amending the Minor Ordinance asked for additional time before report­ing. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 468 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, DEFINING TERMS; PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATION; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS; PROMOTIONS; DISCIPLINARY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN; AND ALL MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND RE­PEALING ORDINANCE NO. 391 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH," BY ADDING A NEW SECTION TO BE NUMBERED SECTION X G., PROVID­ING FOR THE ABOLISHING OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE CIVIL SERVICE UNDER CERTAIN CON­DITIONS AND PROVIDING PROCEDURES THEREFOR, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett was read in full to the Board.
