With the stage established as to the importance of beauty and girls to the world, GEORGIE TAPPS and his sensational dancers take over for 9 minutes of fresh, brilliant choreography. h?╜ The Follies scene shifts to Paris and the Louvre Museum as the setting for another brilliant hit time by Sid Kuller and Lyn Murray called "My Venus Has Arms." In this setting, a singing GI, played by Chuck Nelson, argues with the French museum attendant about the foolishness of the famous statue Venus de Milo, as compared to his girl back home. In answer to the attendant's explanation about Venus, the GI sings: My Venus has arms Two beautiful arms My Venus can hold and lovingly fold me Close to her charms. My Venus wears clothes She powders her nose My Venus can walk and talk baby talk And blush like a rose. With that, the singing GI turns his boast into a dance, created and enacted by Georgie Tapps and his dancers. 5. The whirling, dynamic choreography by Tapps builds up the crescendo to introduce the exciting MARTIN BROTHERS and their amazing puppets. 6. Maintaining the rhythm and pace of the old Ziegfeld shows, Georgie Tapps and his dancers rip into their interpretation of "Revel's Bolero." 7. Then, itls Frank Sinatra, the star, with Bill Miller at the piano. 8. And Frank stays on after his great act, to bring on the entire company for an exciting production number called "Rainbow Blues" by Kuller and Murray, in which beautiful Ziegfeld Girls dressed as various shades of the rainbow all sing out their own blues, pointing out Sinatra as the cause of their woes in song. 9. The finish, with the entire company, is a great splash of color, beauty, and choreography that makes the audience believe they have seen Ziegfeld live again for an exciting 60 minutes. # # ## from: Al freeman.
