Xn oonneotion vita the widening of So. Main Street, the State Highway Department requested that we lover oar 16* water mala where It orossee Mala Street at Clark. This would have entailed considerable exp ana e and would have required shutting off the water to that portion of the olty for several hours, which was undesirable. Xa Ilea thereof, we proposed to the Highway Department the construction of a drop Inlet below ear water main to accommodate their storm drain and this was approved. We alto provided a heavy duty frame and cover for the top of this box, invoice for which will follow. A. M. Polger
