I agree.736-4949 Mr. A1 Freeman Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear A1: Word out of Carson City indicates that Floyd Lamb is determined to eliminate the Bureau of Economic Develop- ment, which, as you know, embraces tourism promotion, as well as the recruitment of industry. I believe this will be a giant step backward, since the "Bet on it!" campaign only now is reaching its promotional peak, and I'm considerably concerned that we may lose advertising impetus if funds are cut off or minimized or if the department loses power. I will be grateful if you will address a letter to the good senator and, if your conscience allows it, go on record supporting the "Bet on it!" program. As you may recall, the Laxalt administration was the first ever to allocate adequate funds for this type campaign. Many thanks. Kindest regards, Harvey Diederich Director of Marketing HD/cy
