I agree.01/16/2003 _04_: 45 FAX 702 739 2323 TROPICA MARKETING i|003 Add One Folies Bergere 2003 Edition Continuing with the vamp theme, a very stylized deco dance club to experience the tango. To heighten the concept of ?╟úFemme Fatale,?╟Ñ the decor incorporates 14-foot female statues with live torsos and large deco designed skirts. These statues function as mobile architectural units. As their positions change throughout the scene, they complement the tango with the choreographed accents of black fans. Being a very difficult dance to learn, choreographer Jerry Jackson brought in the b< tango dancers to teach the steps to the cast. ?╟úWe wanted our dancers to learn fronytango professionals so they can give the audience the best experience possible,?╟Ñ says Jackson. ?╟úI want to make our audience feel like they are there, back in the 1920?╟╓s.?╟Ñ The fourth and final new scene added to the Folies Bergere is the Love and Peace era of the 1970?╟╓s. Five golden starbursts descend from the ceiling, each carrying a stunning showgirl with a large golden headdress while dancers glide across the stage in shimmering capes. This segues into a high-energy routine involving lead singer Paul May decked out in a Sergeapt Pepper-style jacket. He iS/surrounded by^veral dai^rs in psychedelic costumes with male dancers donning giant A fro wigs, as they dance and sing to the popular 1970?╟╓s hits ?╟úDancing in the Street?╟Ñ and ?╟úWe Are Family.?╟Ñ Folies Bergere is performed nightly, except Sundays, at 7:30pm and 10:00pm. The early show is covered, allowing a broader audience to experience this Las Vegas tradition. The later show is topless and open to guests 16 and older. Tickets are $44.95 for table seating and $54.95 for booth seating. They can be purchased through the Tropicana Box Office or by calling 702.739.2411. ###
