Fisher segues from the romantic to the stirring to the bright with ease; he has pleasant warmth and a fine sense of showmanship. The level assistance is given by musical director Colin Romoff, 88er Eddy Samuels, and arranger Jerry Fielding. Joey Forman makes his bow here as a single, after appearing with Mickey Rooney for the past five years. The young comedian comes across as a potent attraction with headlining potential. His material is fresh, and he shows welcome originality in his delivery. His special material song, "Vegas, U.S.A.," a spoof on tv including "The Untouchables," and a bit on "The Fly" winning the Academy Award for acting brought ava- lanching yocks from first-niters. A new Donn Arden production number, "A Girl By Any Other Name," is the curtain-raiser.
