The reason for the bylaw is so we have a better definition of what is a submitted item and so someone can't keep re-submitting a bylaw only changing a few words each time and re-submitting it as a new item; SENATE PRESIDENT DAVY- The senate needs to decide they are going to send this to Bylaws and then Bylaws needs to meet and sent it back to us. She needs to have the submission by tomorrow to get it on the agenda; SENATE PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE MORADKHAN- Her only concern is that this is standard Parliamentary Procedure and she doesn't see any point of us being repetitive; There was discussion; SENATOR LING- She is on the Bylaws Committee and her understanding was that they ended up skipping over Bylaw 57 and if we wanted something more specific we should just change Bylaw 10. She doesn't see why we should change Bylaw 57 if we are going to change Bylaw 10; There was discussion; SENATE PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE MORADKHAN- Wants to know if Senator Powell wants to withdraw Bylaw 57 since they will be making changes to 10 or if he just wants us to fail the item; SENATOR POWELL- Just wants to see our procedures more formalized and he wants it more specific on what can and can't be done with things.
