An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 584 BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO FIVE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Sharp and Whipple was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that this Ordinance No. 656 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Sharp and Whipple, committee for recommendation on the proposed Planning Commission Ordinance (Use Permit, Variance and Rezoning Applications) requested additional time before reporting. Commissioners Sharp and Whipple, committee for recommendation on the proposed amendment to the Planning and Zoning Ordinance to establish C-C zones, requested additional time before reporting. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 635 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR LATE PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEES AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO" BY CLARIFYING DELINQUENCIES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Fountain and Whipple, was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Fountain moved that this Ordinance No. 658 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. City Manager Kennedy recommended that Mr. Carl Belding's contract with the City as concessionaire at the swimming pools and Cashman Field be renewed at a reduced fee of 15%; provided that the sale price to the children is limited to the minimum cost. Commissioner Sharp moved that Mr. Carl Belding's contract as concessionaire be approved for one year subject to the condition that his merchandise be sold for a nominal fee. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the City Manager be authorized to call for bids for the purchase of the Wildcat Lair Building. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time City Manager Kennedy recommended that the City purchase a new microfilm machine to be used by the Finance Department in microfilming records. Mr. Kennedy explained that the new Recordac machine was much preferable to the machine the City is presently leasing since both sides of the film can be used to preserve records. He stated that this machine would cost approximately $1912.00 Commissioner Bunker moved the Finance Department be authorized to purchase a Recordac microfilming machine at an approximate cost of $1912.00. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLVED: That the First National Bank of Nevada as a designated depositary of the City of Las Vegas be and it (including its correspondent banks) is hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor all checks, drafts, or other orders for payment of money drawn in the City of Las Vegas's name on its general accounts (including those drawn to the individual order of any person or persons whose names appear thereon as signor or signors thereof) when bearing or purporting to bear the facsimile signatures of the following: ______Harold A.
