wcco Radio and Television CBS Basic Affiliate TELEVISION DIVISION SO SOUTH NINTH STREET, MINNEAPOLIS 2, MINNESOTA ?╟≤ LINCOLN 0552 December 23, 1955 Publicity Director Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Sir f\ v 'k. r\ hi \j Commencing on January' K 1956, we are introducing a new television production to be known as "Your Reserved Table?╟Ñ, "Your Reserved Table?╟Ñ is a locally sponsored, variety-type show and will feature amateur and professional talent which will be auditioned in our studios prior to each telecast. The show will run concurrently for 13 weeks and will be one hour in length. Each one hour show will consist of 8 or 10 pieces of talent competing for prizes. The thirteenth week will feature the finalists from each weekly show. Winners will be determined by judges not affiliated with this station; namely, Mr. Don Wolford of TV Guide, one of our local news- papermen, and a representative from a major studio in Hollywood. During the tenure of "Your Reserved Table?╟Ñ, which, Incidentally, will be telecast during late evening hours on Friday of each week, awards of merchandise from local sponsors, as well as cash prizes provided by this station, will be presented to the winners. The grand prize winner will receive a substantial cash award and a Hollywood screen test. As an added incentive, we would like to include a two weeks' engagement at your hotel as a special award to the grand prize winner. This engagement shall include salary, commensurate with what you deem fair, transportation to and from Las Vegas will be furnished by one of the major airlines. In return for this consideration, we are prepared to include the mame of your hotel in all publicity relative to this production, including good promotional spots during each weekly telecast.
