V ?╟≤ ?╟≤ FREEMAN COMPANY pub/ic/sts PLANNING RECOMMENDATIONS Believe that this project can mean a lot of good business for the Sands, besides suddenly throwing a convention spotlight on Las Vegas ?╟÷ and after listening to some of the AFA officers after the meeting discuss their needs, recommend the following: 1. The Sands to commit 70 of its 80 suites ?╟÷ and 100 single and double bedrooms, for an actual total of 240 rooms. 2. That we make the Terrace Room available for that entire week as a meeting room for the industrial companies who would need it for their business meetings. If the Terrace Room is in operation by April 12, then I recommend that we make it available for the entire week from 3:00 P.M. on as a meeting and entertainment room. 3. That we list the Emerald Room available for meetings, parties, and special affairs, according to the requisites of the AFA's industrial firms. 4. That we name some of the better suites with names appropriate to the project, for instance ?╟÷ The Galaxy Suite ?╟÷ The Orbit Suite ?╟÷ The Planet Suite, etc. ?╟÷ and that we have inexpensive but tasteful little plaques painted up to identify these suites. 5. That we draw up a broadside or mailing piece based on the theme ?╟÷ The Sands "A Place in Space,?╟Ñ as an announcement of our facilities and services, etc. 6. That we generally go all-out during this week on promotion to exploit the Sands as the top place in Las Vegas with the people who will be present at this convention ?╟÷ and I would like to work up a plan for your study.
