    556 VARIANCE APPLICATION Dr. H. L. Bowers, O.D. Approved V-89-53 VARIANCE APPLICATION George L. Harmon Approved F-76-53 VARIANCE APPLICATION William Anderson Approved V-90-53 VARIANCE APPLICATION Karl Kaufmann Approved V-91-53 The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commis­sion recommending denial of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Ola H. Gamer, V-87-53 be and the same is hereby denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Dr. H. L. Bowers to operate and maintain an optometrist's office at 600 Biltmore Drive, with the entrance on Bonanza Road, as recom­mended by the Planning Commission was considered by the Board at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted subject to removal of fence along property on Bonanza Road and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 16th day of December, 1953, having considered the application of Dr. H. L. Bowers for a variance to operate and maintain an optometrist's office at 600 Biltmore Drive; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Dr. H.L. Bowers, V-89-53, approved by the City Planning Commission and subject to the removal of fence along property on Bonanza Road, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the recommendation of the City Planning Commission approving the application of George L. Harmon to construct and maintain four lodging rooms in addition to an existing single family residence at 110 East Bonanza Read was considered by the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted, and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting oh the l6th day of December, 1953. having considered the application of George L. Harmon for a variance to construct and maintain four lodging rooms at 110 East Bonanza Road; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that this application of George L. Harmon, V-76-53. approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the recommendation of the City Planning Commission approving the application of William Anderson for variance to construct and maintain three duplexes on Stewart Avenue between 21st and 23rd Streets, was considered by the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the l6th day of December, 1953. having considered the application of William Anderson for a variance to construct and maintain three duplexes on Stewart Avenue between 21st and 23rd Streets; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of William Anderson, V-90-53. as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the recommendation of the City Planning Commission approving the application of Karl Kaufmann for variance to construct and maintain a duplex in addition to a single family residence on l6th Street between Marlin and Poplar Streets; was considered by the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the l6th day of December, 1953. having considered the application of Karl Kaufmann for a variance to construct and maintain a 12-16-53
