Iney cam mman laimS leen lapiro as A floor length white satin gown enhanced with crystals and beads was worn by Miss Nancy Eileen Shapiro, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Shapiro of Las Vegas, execu- tive of the Hotel Sands, when she recited marriage vows with Sidney William Schuman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam Schuman of Beverly Hills and Honolulu. The formal ceremony was performed at* 7:30 p.m. Sat- urday, October 30 in the Hotel Sands Convention Hall. Rabbi Aaron Gold officiated at the double ring rites per- formed in the presence of 500 guests. Huge arrangements of yel- low, bronze and gold chrysan- themums decorated the im- provised altar area, and the bridal couple stood beneath a canopy of white wrought iron hooded with a matching floral arrangement. Wedding music was provid- ed by Mory King and his vio- lins. The bride, given in mar- riage by her father, was rad- iant in the especially designed gown, fashioned with a sheath skirt front, long, tapered sleeves, and back gathering falling into a chapel length train. She wore a Chantilly lace Mantilla veil and carried a cascade of orchids, tied with satin streamers. Miss Marilyn Berney was maid of honor with Mrs. Bruce Kates, Mrs. David Goldman, Mrs; Myron Roth- berg and Miss ?· Susan Ber- tisch attending as brides- maids. All wore matching gowns of yellow - orange crepe fashioned with Empire waistlines and complemented with matching headbands holding circular veils. Mrs. Schuman, mother of the bridegroom, chose an ori- ginal floor length gown by Mr. Blackwell of beige peau de soie and imported lace, enhanced with deeper tone beading. The hemline of nat- ural mink matched the mink muff which held a white or- chid. A formal dinner was served to the 500 guests following the nuptials with the Dave Bur- ton orchestra providing enter- tainment and music for danc- ing. The bridal couple has been attending the University of Southern California and will make their new home in the Los Angeles area.
