The light neutral color of the SANDALWOOD will be put to in years to come. shelf backing compliments the merchandise. Shelves in any store are made for just one basic purpose -- to hold and display merchandise. A secondary but very important function of any shelving is to attract customers and to compliment the merchandise. There are two ingredients that must be parts of any shelving if the shelves are to do their jobs -- excellent design and fine materials. One large store fixture manufacturer, Hussmann Refrigeration, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, has combined both to produce a top quality line of fixtures. Hussmann uses large quantities of FOREST SANDALWOOD in its Duro Consolidated, Inc., division in Menlo Park, California. Selling to both independent stores and large chains, Hussmann manufactures re- frige rated cases, walk-in coolers, checkout counters and shelving ?╟÷ in fact, everything for stores except the carts and cash registers. FOREST SANDALWOOD is used by Hussmann for shelving backs because the light platinum color of this durable hard- board is complimentary to any merchandise and because the completely sealed surface resists dirt and stains. The attractive neutral color of SANDALWOOD is actually apart of the board rather than a painted-on coat so SANDALWOOD also resists scratches and wear. Just a damp cloth or solvent is all that is needed to clean SANDALWOOD. FOREST SANDALWOOD saves time, too, because it is pre-finished so needs no painting or waxing. Spokesmen for Hussmann say they use SANDALWOOD also because "it is easier to work with on the job. SANDALWOOD will flex with no damage and there is no paint to chip." Hussmann also uses SANDALWOOD PUNCHED BOARD to allow merchandise to be hung from the holes with hangers for attractive and eye-catching displays. I Stacks of FOREST SANDALWOOD fill the warehouse at Hussmann's Duro Consolidated division in Menlo Park. California. FOREST SANDALWOOD is given the final touches before it becomes part of a Hussmann store fixture.
