I agree.THE SHOSHANIM GROUP - HADASSAH General Meeting - June 12, 1995 Location - Holocaust Museum The meeting was called to order at 7:50 PM by President Sherry DcArmas. Collection of stamps, sample toiletries for Shadetree Shelter and labels for St. Jude were called for. Sherry gave a short speech regarding Hadassah's accomplishments and 80 years of support to Israel. The minutes were read by Harriet Smylie and accepted with a correction noting Margie Wroble as our newest member. There was no Treasurer's report as Marcia Marx was not present. Sherry DeArmas gave the account balance as approximately $116.00. The Education report was given by Ramona Luckman noting the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Sherry DeArmas introduced Ronnie Epstein as the Director of the Jewish Federation. Ronnie provided an overview of the purpose of the Holocaust Center and Museum, its history, its funding and its proposed growth. Its purpose is to teach the lesson of Tolerance. The Center is open daily, the hours fluctuate. Please call to arrange visitation. Ronnie also mentioned a Federation trip to Israel October 18th through the 27th of this year. Following her presentation, there was a self-guided tour of the facility. Final announcements were given by Sherry DeArmas: June 19th is the first official board meeting, to be held at the home of Sheila Simon. Good and Welfare: Judye Skorina's husband is in the hospital.
