    WATER WASTE IS PROHIBITED BY LA# Numerous complaints are being received at the police station regarding lawns being allowed to overflow into the street, undermining the oil bound pave' ment, creating mudholes and breeding places for mosquitoes. CITY ORDINANCE DECLARES THE FOLLOWING TO BE UNLAWFUL: "Permitting a hydrant to leak, or permitting water to drain from a person* s premises into any street, alley or road." A uniformed officer has been assigned to police the resi- . dentAal and business districts for violations of this ordin­ance.
