I agree.FREEMAN company pub//c/sts PLANNING 3/19/59 QUESTIONS FOR CONVENTION CENTER DISCUSSION 1. is the Convention Center to be maintained open all year ?╟╓round, with a permanent staff ?╟÷ or will it be opened only for large conventions and special occasions? 2. What facilities of the Convention Center will be available to a resort hotel when it books a convention for its own hotel? By this we mean, will meeting rooms and any part of the exhibition hall be available for a convention of, let us say, 500 people from an industrial firm or other organizations that need display space? 3. Will the auditorium, which ordinarily seats about 6000 people, be available for a meeting or show to be presented for smaller groups of 500- 1500 conventioneers brought in by a specific hotel? 4. Will there be an expense involved in allowing a resort hotel to use any part of the Convention Center? Will there be charges for the main- tenance staff and cleaning staff, or will that be part of the service provided by the Convention Center itself for the building on a year-round basis? * 5. Will a resort hotel be able to call upon the Convention Bureau Director and staff to set up any of the Convention Center meeting rooms or display space for use by a convention brought in by that specific hotel? 6. What part in the operation of the Convention Center does the Advisory Board play as far as policy and responsibility? Do Mr. Albright and Mr. Kelly work with the County Fair and Recreation Board or with the Advisory Board of hotel people in planning the expenditures of promotional money, advertising, and publicity? 7. Could there be set up regular meetings of Mr. Albright and Mr. Kelly with the Convention Director of each hotel in order to keep everybody fully informed? 9508 WILSHIRE BLVD.
