I agree.PROMOTION REPORT re: John Mahan's telephone call on Epic Records Convention progress Mahan was principally concerned with two things: 1) What you decision is on the Epic program or concert or show, in relation to a local charity being granted the proceeds. Mahan said he had discussed this with you and is awaiting word from you on how it will be handled. 2) He is wondering what we have done publicity-wise as far as the convention is concerned. I advised him we would cooperate and that you would be in touch with him. He asked that we start releasing column items and also what ever radio-television plugs we can get aired. Also asked for marquee line beginning next Thursday. Mahan seemed particularly concerned about the publicity. I have the impression he wonders if we are capable?╟÷a notion which you have probably detected in his voice. He said he would be in touch Monday and that perhaps we might call him when we have the answer on the show. If you would like, I can start getting the column notes going with Forrest Duke, Joe Julian etc., this weekend, with a release going to other writers and radio announcers Monday or Tuesday. Also might do a good feature story for break on Thursday or Friday. Please advise how I can help. ron
