    5 7 6 VARIANCE APPLICATION O.A. Kenna & Geo. Marsh V -96-53 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION Dr. D. N. Leavitt V-97-53 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION Dr. Quannah S McCall V -99-53 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION A.P. & Myrtle Rimmer V-100-53 Denied Christman for a variance to convert an existing two car garage into a two story building consisting of an apartment on each floor with no rear set back at 524 North 14th Street; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is- the decision of this Board that the application of Ruth P. Christman, V-95-53, as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote; Commis­sioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of O.A. Kenna and George Marsh for variance to construct two apartments in addition to 10 which exist on a 20,450 square foot lot at 225 North 15th with no rear set back, as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted; BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 20th day of January, 1954 having considered the application of O.A.Kenna and George Marsh for a variance to construct two apartments in addition to 10 which exist on a 20,450 square foot lot at 225 North 15th; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application: NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of O.A. Kenna and George Marsh, V-96-53, as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Dr. D. N. Leavitt for variance to construct dental offices within 6 feet of the north property line on the corner of 9th and Gass, as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 20th day of January, 1954 having considered the application of Dr. D. N. Leavitt for a variance to construct dental offices on the corner of 9th and Gass; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application: NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Dr. D. N. Leavitt, V-97-53, as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Dr. Quannah S. McCall for variance to construct an addition to a dentist office at 820 Gass Avenue as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 20th day of January, 1954 having considered the appli­cation of Dr. Quannah S. McCall for a variance to construct an addition to a dentist office at 820 Gass Avenue; and The Board having considered the decision of the City Planning Commission recommending approval of this application: NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Dr. Quannah S. McCall, V-99~53, as approved by the City Planning Commission, be and the same is hereby granted, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Jarrett. The application of A. P. and Myrtle Rimmer for variance to construct a duplex on each of two lots'which are 6,000 square feet in area at 2317 and 2321 Van Patten Place, as recommended by the Planning Commission, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 20th day of January, 1954 having considered the application of A. P. and Myrtle Rimmer for a variance to construct a duplex on each of two lots which are 6,000 square feet in area at 2317 and- 2321 Van Patten Place; and 1-20-54
