Yang Mr. A1 Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear A1: I was glad to have had the opportunity of talking with you over the telephone and I again want to assure you that my message to Carl was not an attempt to disturb him because I am proud to say that based upon my relationship, I feel close enough to have communicated with him; especially during the holiday season. Al, sometimes it is difficult in a letter to do justice to one?╟╓s personal feelings regarding a given situation; yet, I will do my best to describe my own feelings related to our agreement with the Sands Hotel. Last year, rooms were rated on a basis of $22.00 each; this year at the rate of $27.00. Without describing the cost of the dinner last year, suffice it to say that it was increased this year. The actual cost for both of these items this year had not been finalized at the time we set $35,000 as the Sands credit on the Master Account which, of course, means that these in- creases dissipated the $35,000 considerably. I?╟╓m saying here, Al, that this ought to be considered at this time. However, if you feel it is a closed issue and there?╟╓s no room for negotiation, please advise me of this decision and a check in the full amount billed by the Sands to the Sportsmen's Club will be remitted. In closing, I think I should remind you here that a table of ten at the dinner was provided and used by the Hughes people for the show. Let me close by wishing you a very healthy and happy New Year. Sincerely, Irv Terry IT: me NATIONALLY TELEVISED PRODUCED BY THE SPORTSMEN'S CLUB FOR THE CITY OF HOPE
