Earlier that day they?╟╓d played a unique game in their Isuites. The ma- jority wanted to'see the ?╟úHello Ameriea?╟Ñ show at,the Desert Inn. Unfortunately there were only 50 reserva- tions for that show, with the other 50 going elsewhere on, the Strip. So they cut up slips of paper and pencilled on each of the 100 the words ?╟úYou Win?╟Ñ or ?╟úYou Lose,?╟Ñ The first 50 who sot ?╟úYou Win?╟Ñ slips took in the ?╟úHello America?╟Ñ show. Jt VEGAS DAZE AND NITES WHISPERS IN THE NITE The bosses at the Desert fun are a happy little group as they explain that Library of Congress in the nation's capital has requested a copy of the song, Hello America,?╟Ñ from the musical extravaganza ef the same name at that hotel, for its archives and to he displayed alongside such honored, original documents as Abraham Lincoln?╟╓s Gettysburg Ad- dress. Or didn?╟╓t you know that Lincoln had written a duplicate speech in case he misplaced the origi- nal copy? Such invaluable publicity certainly enhances the Las Vegas image and is a welcome relief from the usual derogatory publicity fed to the nation about the town, Only two months ago ?╟úHello America?╟Ñ was written into the Congressional Record as ?╟úone of the most patriotic, most entertaining shows in the entire history of Las Vegas.?╟Ñ RALPH PEARL
