I agree.t-d^W^ 20, 1943 Keely Smith, Allen & Rossi Cal-Neva Lodge Slated for Keeiy Smith, "The Mona Lisa of Song," tops the bill witfi comedy eut-ups Marty Allen & Steve Rossi in the Celebrity Room of Frank Sinatras Cal-Neva Lodge on the north end of Lake Tahoe, starting Friday, July 26. Long the star-singer with former husband Louis Prima's orchestra, Keely-did her first solo recording in 1957 with the album, 'T Wish You Love," and made her debut as a nightclub "single" at Las Vegas' Hotel Riviera in 1962. The Irish-Indian singer-actress has scored as^ one of the top popular recording artists; ev- , ery year since 1958 and appeared as leading lady opposite Robert Mitchum in the film, "Tnunder Road." Allen & Rossi, the team that made international Page 1 headlines with their ' 'Hello Dere" comedy bit between astronauts Cooper and Schirra, have been billed as successors to the Dean Martin- Jerry Lewis combo. Handsome KEELY SMITH straight man and singer Steve Rossi has been compared to Robert Goulet of "Camelot" i?½me, and barrel-shaped Marty Allen crowned with the title, "Owe of the World's Truly Accomplished Nuts." Their nonsensical display of gags, imjpressions, pantomimic- ry, situation comedy, dancing and singing is one of the brightest highlights on the current night club circuit. Keely Smith and Allen ?√ß& Rossi step into the Celebrity Room limelight following The McGuire Sisters and Charlie Manna, who appear through July '25. Backing, the show is a theatrical extravaganza, staged by Donn Ardeh and featuring Tahoe's most beautiful chorus girls. Matty Mal- neck conducts the orchestra. Featured in the bar-lounge is one of the year's hottest recording stars, Latin singer-guitarist Trini Lopez, Who has just been signed to a Reprise contract.
