SCHELLACK, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW- JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of Two (2) insertions from February 5, 1956 to February 12, 1956 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: February 5, 12, 1956. That said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. /s/ A.F. SCHELLACK Subscribed and sworn to before me this 13th day of February, 1956 /s/ NEOLA GIERHART NOTARY PUBLIC IN AND FOR CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA My Commission Expires April 14, 1957 ORDINANCE NO. 697 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND OTHER SPECIALIZED CODES DEALING WITH THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY; PROVIDING FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE IN THE EVENT OF SECOND INSPECTIONS REQUIRED; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. In the event construction work should receive a stop work order placed thereon by the Building Department for a violation of the provisions of the Uniform Building Code or any other specialized code dealing with the construction industry, or a failure to comply with the plans and speci­fications on file, the person or persons to whom the permit for such construction or installation was is­sued shall pay an additional fee to the City of Las Vegas as follows: (a) 10% of the amount of the initial payment fee; provided however, a maximum fee of $50.00 per stop work order and a minimum fee of $10.00 per stop work order. SECTION 2. If the stop work order is issued by the City and it develops that such stop work order was improperly issued or that there was no violation of the Uniform Building Code or other specialized codes, fees provided for in Section 1 shall not be paid, or if paid, shall be refunded. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith sure hereby expressly re­pealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as in the next section provided, and final passage. SECTION 5. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. BAKER, Mayor /s/ SHIRLEY BALLINGER SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commis­sioners on the 7th day of December, 1955, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Bunker and Whipple for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordinance on the 15th day of February, 1956, which was the regular meeting held on said day, and at said regular meeting held on said day, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp,Whipple and Mayor Baker Voting "Nay": None Absent: None APPROVED: /s/ C.D.
