At least the floor will be, welcoming Holiday on Ice for a 19-day stand. The colorful extravaganza, inaugurating its 1968-69 season, will be the first ice show to play the new Garden. Later, five international touring companies of the show will play all six continents of the globe this season. Produced by Morris Chalfen and staged by director Donn Arden, the production ranges from a Salute to Fred Astaire to a Hollywood finale with skaters portraying Keystone Kops, Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers and Mack Sennett bathing beauties. Heading the cast in the hard-water spectacle are Ronnie Robertson, and Anna Galmarini, an Italian star who won the World's Professional Skating Championship in 1965. Comic highlights are provided by Paul Andre and an ice- skating dog which tickles adults and kids alike. Camera freezes Marei Langenbein in spectacular butterfly leap.
