    SUN Tuesday, May 27, 1969 PETER BERNHARD ___vard first baseman Bernhard Finishes A Great Seas CAMBRIDGE, Mass. ?╟÷ Las |Vegas?╟╓ Pete Bernhard, 175- pound sophomore, recently com- pleted a fine baseball season at 'larvard. Bernhard, who started all 21 James at first base and was re- cently named to the Greater loston League All-Star team, sided the season as the Crim- Ison?╟╓s third best hitter with a 1338 (27 for 80) average. He led Ithe team in at bats (80), walks 1(22), and stolen bases (8), was pied for first in runs scored (18), pnd was second and third respec- pvely in hits and doubles (4). A 1967 graduate of High School, the 5-11 Bernhard lettered twice in football, basket- ball, and baseball, captaining the latter as a senior. Named All-Conference in baseball his final two years and All-State as a senior, when he had a 7-1 pitching record and 0.81 earned run average, he was also select- ed tc the American Legion All- State squad for three years.
