H mif jjjj HO 9?╟÷r9l3 June 27, 1961 Mr. Jack Entratter, President Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Entratter: As per our telephone conversation of today I am outlining to you our proposed engagements of RED SKELTON for Houston and Dallas during August 1961. Our offer for one night in Dallas, and one night in Houston a total of $20,000.00. Our preferance of dates afe: Houston on August 24th, and Dallas on August 25th. Second, choice are: Houston on August 18th. and Dallas on August 19th. Other dates could also be worked out to fit Mr. Shelton's schedule. We would supply SHEP FIELDS and his Rippling Rhythm Orchestra in both towns, as well as all supporting acts, subject to Mr. Skelton's approval. Our budget for supporting acts would be around $2500.00 |o $3000.00. In Dallas the show would be held in the new air-6onditioned Dallas Memorial Auditorium. In Houston if only one show is*possible a night it would be held in the Sam Houston Coliseum which is also air-conditioned. These buildings are the same ones that Louis Prima and Keely Smith preformed in for us last fall. We would have no problem playing one show in Daklas; but we would rather do tavo shows in Houston in the smaller Music-Hall if at all possible. One show at 7:00 P.M. and one show at 9:30 P.M. Would appreciate you discussing this with Mr. Skelton and advising us as soon as possible. I will be in Houston until Saturday, and then I will be at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Ark., returning to Hpuston on July 4th. Please give Mr. Skelton our very best wishes, and we will look forward to his return\to Texas for another great tour. \ iiiL hanks for your help and cooperation on this engagement. \r*f A / AVID N 1C HO LS , vJR., Presi d ICHOLS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
