I agree.Memo from Lloyd Katz to the Board of Directors about a board meeting to be held June 5, 1985.
JEWISH FEDERATION OF LAS VEGAS Memo To From Board of Directors Lloyd Katz, President, JFLV The next meeting of the Board of JFLV is scheduled for: Wednesday evening, June 5th, 1985, 8:00p.m. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT MEETING BECAUSE THE BOARD WILL BE VOTING ON LOCAL ALLOCATIONS. A copy of the recommendations of the Allocations Committee, chaired by Arne Rosencrantz, is attached for your consideration. The committee has worked under a burdensome restraint: allocable funds this year are approximately $100,000 less than last year. In the past, shortfalls in local allocations have been made up by de?creasing the amount of money allotted to Israel. The committee felt that in justice to Israel this process could not be allowed to deteriorate any further. In its concern that these recommendations represent as broad a body of leadership opinion as possible, a special meeting of both the Allocations and Executive Committees of the Federation was called to review these recommendations. The figures on the next page rep?resent the unanimous judgement of both committees. That information is now submitted for your consideration prior to the June 5th meeting I urge your presence at this meeting to vote on the allocations recom mended. Your participation in this process is perhaps the most im?portant function of your membership on the Board. Please make every effort to attend. 1030 East Twain Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 (702) 732-0556
