r GILIBURTY: HUNTER: GILIBURTYs HUNTER: GILIBURTY: POWERS: GILIBURTY: POWERS: GILIBURTY: Yes - and that can be a more than full-time job, Miss Hunter... But if you develop outside interests, you can keep it In perspective. What are some of your outside interests? Well, my first one you might callfinside-outside1 (It's sewing.,. I make all my daughters1 clothes. I've been listening to your program, and I've been 0** *-A'/A^- amazed to discover how many other women do the same. Yes - home-sewing is certainly coming back as a constructive hobby. I think that's partly because of the war, when we couldn't buy so many clothes. Another thing -- There are so many beautiful cottons in the stores again, I just can't resist buying them... Then I have to use them. ?╟≤And what other hobbles do you have besides sewing, Mrs, Giliburty? Well -- I belong to the garden club ?╟÷ I like flower gardening, except:0weeding. . . I used to do ballet dancing to help keep my waist-line trim... And I'm first mate on my husband's cabin cruiser... That's a lot of fun.... I remember when we sailed it to the World's Pair, my husband used to be the envy of his friends because we had no parking problems... Cruising Is a good, healthful recreation, too... Yes - but the reason I like It is that it's relaxing. I have a lot of hobbies that are constructive - for instance learning how to make leather gloves-andvbo (j Unit bottoms in chairs at the Home Bureau connected with Cornell University. | But all these things are relaxing as well as constructive.
