This includes many incorporated communities within the city limits as well as those outside the limits, such as West University, Hillshire Village, Spring Valley Village, Hunter Creek, Bunker Hill Village, South Houston, JaCinto City, Galena Parki and Addicks. Also affected by this new ruling will be Barker, Katy, Fairbanks, Stafford, Westfield, Southside Place, Hedwig Village, Piney Point Village, Greens Bayou, Cloverleaf, Channelview, Pasadena, Satsuma, Cypress, Hockley, Huffsmith, Tomball, Aldine, Spring, Westfield, Dyersdale, Huffman, East Houston, Almeda, Four Corners, and several other Houston area communities. "We have know* for some time that many girls from areas such as these have wanted to enter the Miss Houston Pageant," Wes Hooper, Jaycee president, said, "but we could do nothing about it until a ruling from the state Jaysees, "Now, the tremendous opportunities offered in the Miss Houston Pageant are open to them. As a consequence of this new development, we are extending the entry deadline until next Saturday, June 29, All entries, however, must be in by noon to be counted." --more-- H
